Quinn, you have what I call ‘Rich White Girl Problems’.
The big fear (I would imagine) for coming out of the closet is that your world will be torn apart, that your loved ones will stop loving you, that you will be bullied, that everyone will judge you. Now tell me that isn’t exactly what Quinn went through when she came out with her pregnancy! Her world was completely shattered. To this day it seems like she still has no contact from her father. She was bullied, called horrible names and judged by everyone even those who were supposedly the ones ‘there for her’. Yes she was a horrible person before all of this happened but no one deserves this to happen to them not even bullies… just like Karofsky. Quinn was soooo messed up from this whole experience that perhaps, if she didn’t have her faith or the few friends she did have, she could have made the same choice as Karofsky and tried to end her life. She had lost her family, felt like she disappointed her God, lost her boyfriend, lost her friends and her reputation, felt like she ruined any chance of a future for herself. She very well could have decided she had nothing left to live for. It’s not just the fear of being outed that causes teen suicide and the fact that Kurt is downplaying her pain and suffering is just wrong. Just like Quinn doesn’t know what it’s like to come out, Kurt will never know the hardships that Quinn had to deal with. Talk about having compassion… Kurt’s obviously an idiot and needs to be bitch slapped. Also the fact that no one stood up for Quinn here shows once more how truly alone Quinn is in this group.
